Pampering Evening Report PDF Print E-mail

Following an article in 'The View' from the Sheffied north District that hosted an even entitled 'Complete Beauty Night' our District decided to hold a 'Pampering' evening for our Senior & Brigader girls.

Therefore 60 girls from the Mid Kent District of Girls' Brigade met on a cold and wet Tuesday evening to have a girlie evening pampering themselves.

They took part in five different activities, they learnt how to perform hand massage on each other using aromatherapy oils, this was followed by some nail care, and painting nails in a wide range of colours.

They were encouraged to eat healthily and made dips and smoothies which were soon devoured.photo2.jpg

The make-up lady unfortunately was ill on the day but a brave Leader volunteered to pass on her skills and did make-overs on some of the girls whilst talking to them about keeping their skin looking and feeling good.
In the hall they took part in aerobics, to keep their bodies supple.
During the evening we had refreshments and a 'snatch raffle'.

They also heard how to keep their spiritual bodies healthy by daily reading, songs, prayer and meeting regularly with other Christians.

The evening ended with goodie bags for all the girls filled with creams, bubble bath, face masks, nail varnish, lipsticks, and a Bible text.

The girls enjoyed the evening and we hope to build on this to provide the older girls with activities they can enjoy together in future years.
